I hadn't sold a home through a Realtor in more than fifty years. These days it's become a trite expression for service orientated companies to state that they desire to "exceed expectation." Most do not and, in fact, rarely meet expectations. Donna Mizak, Raveis Realty in Trumbull, CT definitely exceeded my expectations during the recent sales of my parents' home. She went way above the realtor "duty call" of only listing and showing a home. She hired a plumber and mason for repairs, arranged for termite control, snow plowing, cleaning, tag sale (including placing an ad for the sale) and auction. In addition, she visited the home three times a week prior to the sale to make sure that the boiler had sufficient steam during this cold winter. The day before the closing, she took care of a window pane broken during the removal of contents. And believe it or not, that same day, not satisfied with the cleaning service, "broom swept" the home herself. This was an outstanding example of service above and beyond for which Donna deserved a medal.
